2.2 More Airespace Support
Now AMP supports the following new features on the Airespace Controller
• Support for Airespace 2000 Controller
• Airespace Radio Settings: AMP supports configuration of radio settings like auto transmit power,
monitoring thresholds, 802.11a and b/g monitor intervals etc. These settings can be configured on
the Group->Radio->Configure Airespace Radio settings.
• Support for firmware upgrades
2.3 Performance Enhancements
AMP now supports SNMP v2 while fetching SNMP information from access points, switches and
routers which support SNMP version 2. SNMP version 2 supports Bulkget of information via SNMP
which speeds up the time taken by the AMP to fetch SNMP information from network devices.
Group->List page will load faster on AMP version 4.1. Some performance enhancements have been
done to facilitate that.
2.4 Support for multiple radius accounting clients
AMP now supports configuration of multiple radius accounting clients on the AMP Setup->Radius
Accounting page. AMP users can also upload a csv file with radius servers on this page.
2.5 AMP supports multi-stage firmware upgrade of 2.0.x->2.1.x on the HP 420s
AMP now supports multi-stage firmware of HP 420s from 2.0.x ->2.1.x. Customers who need to upgrade
their HP420s need to upload only the 2.1.x image on the AMP from the Device Setup->Firmware page.
Please note that customers need not upload the temp_img, bootrom images on to the AMP since AMP
4.1 has already uploaded these files to the TFTP server.
2.6 Support of IOS-LWAPP APs
AMP now supports discovery, monitoring and management of IOS APs converted into LWAPP devices.
Please refer to Cisco’s documentation for instructions on upgrading the Cisco IOS APs into LWAPP
firmware.
2.7 AMP supports configuration of closed network on HP420s
AMP now supports closed network setting on the HP 420 Access Points. The closed network setting can
be enabled/disabled from the Group->Security page.
2.8 Support for untagged wireless VLANs on Enterasys AP3000
AMP now supports configuration of untagged wireless VLANs when the management vlan is untagged.
Customers will be able to configure this setting by enabling vlan tagging on the Group->Security page.
