Byaddingminimalinformationaboutyourbuildingsandfloorsatyoursite,yousupport
improvedmonitoringforyournetwork.Youcanmanuallyaddbuildingandfloorinformation,or
youcanimportafloorplan.Forinformationaboutimportingafloorplan,referto“ImportaFloor
Plan”onpage 6‐8.
Adding Site information
Toaddsiteinformation:
1. SelecttheRFPlanningtoolbaroption.
2. IntheOrganizerpanel,clickthenameofthenetworkplan.
3. SelectCreateSiteintheTaskListpanel.TheCreateSitewizard,aseriesofdialogboxes,
promptsyouforinformationaboutthenewsite.
4. IntheSiteNamebox,type
anameforthesite(1 to 80alphanumericcharacters,withnospaces
ortabs),andclickNext.
5. TochangetheCountryCode,selectthecountrywherethenetworkistobedeployedinthe
CountryCodelist.
6. IntheChannelSet(802.11b/g)list,selectthesetofoperatingchannelsforany802.11b/g
AP
radiosyouplantouse(ifdifferentfromthedefault),andclickNext.
7. IntheNumberOfBuildingsbox,specifyhowmanybuildingsareinyoursite,andclick
Finish.
Whenyouspecifythenumberofbuildingsasitecontains,RoamAboutSwitchManager
createseachbuildingusingthedefaultsettings.
YoucaneditthebuildingsRoamAboutSwitch
Managercreatesoryoucanaddnewbuildings.

Tocreateabuilding:
1. IntheOrganizerpanel,clickthesitename.
2. SelectCreateBuildingintheTaskListpanel.TheCreateBuildingwizardpromptsyoufor
informationaboutthenewbuilding.
