Set Up a VLAN for VoWIP on RoamAbout Switches
Thisprocedureissimilartotheprocedurein“SetUpVLANsonRoamAboutSwitches”on
page 3‐15,exceptIGMPsnoopingisdisabledontheVLAN.
TosetupaVLANforVoWIPonaRoamAboutSwitch:
1. SelectConfigurationonthetoolbar.
2. IntheOrganizerpanel,expandtheRoamAboutSwitch.
3. ExpandSystem,
thenselectVLANs.
4. IntheTaskListpanel,selectVLAN.
TheCreateVLANwizardisdisplayed.
5. Enteranamesuchasvlan‐voiceandusetheVLANIDsuggestedbythewizard.
6. ClickNext.SelecttheportsyouwanttouseintheVLANandclickAddorMove.
•TheAdd
buttonaddstheportstothenewVLANwithoutremovingthemfromanyother
VLANs.
•TheMovebuttonremovestheportsfromallotherVLANs,andplacestheminthenew
VLAN.
TheportsappearintheCurrentMemberslist.
Totag portsintheVLAN,selectTagandeditthe
tagvalue.(Taggingisrequiredifyouclick
Add,becausetheportsarethenmembersofmultipleVLANs.)
7. ClickNext.(Optional)ToassignanIPinterfacetotheVLAN,edittheIPaddressorselect
DHCPClient.ToenabletheIPinterface,selectInterfaceEnabled.
8. ClickFinish.
ThenewVLAN
appearsintheContentpanel.
ForSVP,continuewiththefollowingsteps,todisableIGMPsnooping.ForVoWIPtypesthat
donotrequireIGMPtobedisabled,youcanstophere.
9. SelecttheVLANintheVLANstableandclickProperties.
10. ClicktheIGMPtab.
11. DeselectEnabled,todisableIGMPsnooping
ontheVLAN.
12. ClickOK.
